There's no explaining the American public and I've just about stopped trying. But here goes anyway.

Most of the public here was stiil shaking from 9/11 and we have a way here at lashing out at others when we're in pain. Unfortunately, we lashed out at the wrong people, place and country because our fine upstanding president lied so thoroughly about it to us. Now, some of us were smart enough to see through the ruse, but many gave him the benefit of the doubt as they have short memories about former wars and lies from our "great" leaders. Mix the constant fear from terror threat warnings onto a public that doesn't know how to handle terror issues (as so many other countries do since they have dealt with it so much longer than we have) and you've got a recipe for disaster. Add in a complacent and conservative corporate run media and evil geniuses like Karl Rove into the pot and that's one big tasty stew of stupidity you end up with.

So there you go. That's why I think the American Public supported the march to war. Oh, we're arrogant as Fuck and think we own the world. I forgot to throw that in.
